Formant controls replace ordinary cutoff/resonance labels with X/Y, transpose, peak and spread. Comb and phaser sections introduce notch patterns and polarity. Use model-specific controls rather than applying one low-pass parameter template to every family. The text loosely calls a phaser a comb with fewer notches; retain the practical relationship but not equivalence: delay-comb and all-pass phaser paths are distinct mechanisms in the existing source knowledge.
